Velma Owusu-Bempah Set To Make Ghana Proud For The Third Time
Ghanaian milliner Velma Owusu-Bempah for the third time will be showcasing her works on the international platform at the 2020 London Hat Week Exhibition from April 16 to 22 at different venues in the UK.
According to Velma, being the first Ghanaian to be selected for this exhibition, has always been exciting representing Ghana in London. It’s a way to bring the spotlight to Ghana and our fashion industry. This year promises to be bigger and better as we are attending the press event in March and the exhibition in April.
On her Instagram handle, she posted, “In the wise words of an iconic woman, ‘we know every great dream begins with a dreamer’, all you need is passion, patience, and humility. A big thank you to London Hat Week and Xterrace Fashion platform and all the beautiful people who continue to believe in this Ghanaian dream with global potential. 2020 is really the year of exploits and we can’t wait for you to see our piece in London.”
The London Hat Week has been described as a collection of hat-related events run by individuals and organizations across London, celebrating the art of hats in a city that is home to some of the most talented hat designers in the world.
The event brings together top designers from all over the world, and there are high hopes she would make Ghana proud.
Her comprehensive style, exceptional taste, and expertise have brought her many celebrity clients like Anita Erskine, Sandra Ankobiah, Juliet Ibrahim, Shirley Frimpong- Manso, Joselyn Dumas, Samira Bawumia, among others.
